1946 Willys Wagon Restomod LT1 Vintage AC A/T Frame off custom build
1946 Willy's Overland wagon Restomod
CMC is proud to have this one of kind 1946 Willy's Overland Restomod in our showroom. Riding on a custom coil over suspension and powered by a LT1 Corvette Engine, this is one wild ride!
This 1946 Willy's Overland Wagon underwent a frame-off no expense spared restoration. The frame was powder coated and the upgrades were added. The following other modifications were performed to the chassis:
* Coil over front and rear suspension
* 4 bar rear trailing arms
* Wilwood Disc Brakes front and rear
* 9” ford rear
* Rectangle tubular frame
* Tubular x member
* Tilt steering column
* 7” power brake pedal
* Stainless steel 20 gallon fuel tank
* FIT radiator and condenser
= 195 hours labor
The body was professionally stripped to bare metal. The roof was chopped 4” inches. The rear folding window was modified. The doors had one piece electric windows. The gas door was filled and replaced with flush touch door.
Mechanically, an LT1 Corvette engine was fitted to the custom chassis and backed by a 700R4 Automatic Overdrive transmission. A set of 3:70 gears were set in ford 9” rear. A stainless steel dual 2.5” exhaust system was installed. Vintage Air Conditioning was then applied to the engine.
Other additions include power operated door opener. The lights were also upgraded to LED lighting. The truck also has cruise control.
The wirings was all replaced with new painless wiring system.
The body and paint was performed by Phillips Paint and Body Designs.
The custom interior was preformed by Hartzell Auto Interiors. They built a gorgeous custom interior, door panels, and custom side panels.
The fully customized wagon rides on staggering 17” front and 20” rear Boyd Magneato Custom Wheels.
The end result of this custom build is a super smooth, dependable, Restomod wagon that can be daily driven if wanted. This is a very well sorted build and is ready for your next rod run!
This truck included a full binder with the build receipts and specifications. Also included is a photos album documenting the restoration and custom build.
