Our Hurst-Olds is Demmer car # 141. This was the 141st car out of 906 to be ever built. These were factory produced hot rods, and the survival rate was low. This car is documented in the Hurst Olds Register.

Powered by the original Numbers Matching 455 H.O., the VIN number is stamped into the side of the block. The car retains the original High output rare "D" heads and the original quadrajet Carburetor. (29251 RJ), Original intake manifold #405233, Alternator # 1100833 37A, and original exhaust manifolds (LH # W402295 and RH# Z 402294). Car also has the original OH stamped special calibrated turbo Hydramatic transmission. The VIN number is stamped on the side of transmission as well. The is a very authentic and correct Hurst Olds.

In 1968 GM teamed up with Demmer Engineers to produced the Hurst Olds and get around the government ban on producing a midsize car with a 455 CI engine. After 1969, when the Hurst Olds proved to be successful, government lifted the ban and all 1970 auto manufactures would be allows to use big CI engines. The Hurst Olds played a very special part in the muscle car evolution and as a result of this, the 1969 Hurst Olds is a coveted muscle car.

The 1969 Hurst Olds was a very special car and used many unique parts. This particular car has the rare Functional Ram Air Hood Scoops, correct air cleaner and ram induction ,English Racing mirror, Strato Bucket Seats with gold strips running over headrest, Rear Spoiler, correct H/O 15" chrome wheels. Hurst Dual Gate Shifter, Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, Front and Rear Seat belts, Dual Exhaust System, Rally Pack Instrument Cluster Deluxe Sport Steering wheel, Tilt Steering column, Power trunk, AM-FM Radio, Factory 8-track player, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Dual trumpet exhaust, tinted glass, map light rear view mirror, and original Oldsmobile rubber floor mats.

Hurst-Olds #141 was also signed by Miss Hurst Olds herself, Linda Vaughn. The previous owner was friends with Linda Vaughn and a photo of Linda Vaugn in this car will be included with the sale.

This car was seldom used, and only has 37,101 Actual miles. The car was garage kept its entire life and was never left outside. The car was a very solid and very original car prior to the restoration. During the restoration the car was completely stripped down and new paint and stripes were installed. The original bumpers were triple chrome plated. The original numbers matching engine was rebuilt and the original parts were installed back. The original transmission was rebuilt as well. The positraction rear was the 3:42 axle ratio. During the restoration all of the original Hurst Olds specific parts were restored and reinstalled. The car also has a lot of originality with it. The car still retains the original windshield which appears to be flawless. The original dash pad is supple and very clean. All gauges are crisp, and the Am Fm radio still plays. The car still has the original headliner and sunvisor. The trunk compartment is very original as well. The original spare tire is still in the trunk along with the jack and tools. The original H/O wheels were restored and mounted on the correct Goodyear Polyglas GT tires. The car was correctly restored right down to the original T-3 headlamps. The end result of the restoration is an absolutely stunning H/O.
