CMC has just taken this 1968 Mustang GT California Special into our showroom. This car was part of a private collection in North Carolina for many years. The California Special had many Shelby specific parts, and has been well optioned. The car is the desirable Tahoe Turquoise Exterior with Black deluxe interior.
This California Special was purchased new at Vince Dixon Ford Inc in Oceanside, California.

The California Special was only built in the San Jose California plant between February 17 through July 30, 1968. A total of only 4,118 were built making these cars collectible today. Our car is listed in the California Special Registry.

This special mustang was purchased from a private collection in North Carolina. The car is a very original example that has been restored as needed throughout the years. The car was painted in the original color some years ago. The paint is older but still presents well. The engine is clean and tidy. The interior is in good shape. The car is mechanically excellent and runs and drives great. The car rides well on the BFG tires and is a an absolute pleasure to drive. A great sound comes from the performance dual exhaust system. This car is an excellent driver.
